01. Assam NRC Draft
The Supreme Court of India passed an order for prepared a draft only in Assam to NRC (National Register of Citizens), Hence it’s not a basis action against anyone by any authority.
Court order to concern Ministry to Formulate Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to deals with objection claims of Draft.
02. Pakistan General Elections 2018
Imran Khan wins with High Majority. According to Election Commission of Pakistan Imran Khan PTI (Pakistan Tahreek e Insaf) won 116 seats in National Assembly and become the largest party in National Assembly.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif PMLN (Pakistan Muslim League N) gets 64 seats and the Former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari PPP (Pakistan People’s Party) gets 44 seats.
While Imran Khan needs few more seats to make a government in Pakistan.
03. Assam National Register of Citizens Final Draft
Assam Government announced the second and final draft of National Register of Citizens on 30 July 2018. 2.89 crore names include in the draft out of 3.29 crore applicants.
40.07 lakh people names left out. Their claims were taken from 30 August to 28 September. First draft published in December 2017 in which 1.9 crore people names includes out of 3.29 crore peoples.
04. BRICS meeting 2018 in Johannesburg
BRICS meeting held in Johannesburg South Africa. All the governments of five Countries Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa ready for the 10th summit from 25 to 27 July 2018.
The BRICS country meets with each other discuss all the political and religious issues. All are ready to solve various issues together.
05. Vodafone-Idea merger final approval of government
The Department of Telecom (Dot) gave the final approval to the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular on 26 July 2018. Vodafone India and Idea Cellular paid jointly Rs 7,268.78 “under protest to Dot.”
After the final approval of the Register of Companies (RoC) they both merge and they become the biggest Mobile Phone Company of India. They will be known as “Vodafone Idea.”
Chairman of Aditya Birla Group Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla will be the Non-Executive Chairman of Vodafone Idea and Chief Operating Officer of Vodafone India Mr. Balesh Sharma become the CEO of Vodafone Idea.
06. Set up a Committee of High level against mob lynching
The incidents regarding mob Lynching increases day by day. On July 23, 2018, Union Home Secretary constituted a High-level Committee give the recommendation to solve this issue.
The Union of Government also decided to make a Group of Minister (GoM) under the Union Home Minister Mr. Rajnath Singh to give recommendations to High-level Committee.
07. NASA to launch Parker Solar Probe
NASA the US space agency announced to launch a robotic car-size spacecraft Parker Solar Probe on 20 July 2018. The spacecraft will be launched on August 2018 from Cape Canaveral in Florida on the United Launch Alliance Delta IV heavy. It directly affects life and society and its explore the sun and earth system.
